About the role The lead Patient Coordinator at our sports medicine clinic will oversee a team of 8-10 front desk patient coordinators. This role is pivotal in ensuring exceptional patient service and efficient front office operations. The lead Patient Coordinator will act as the primary point of contract for both patients and staff, ensuring smooth day-today activities and fostering a patient-centered environment. What you’ll do Team Leader: Oversee daily operations of the front desk team with an eye of professionalism and efficiency. Provide guidance, support, and training to patient coordinators including onboarding Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide supportive constructive feed back Learn, implement, and train latest patient management technologies Develop and implement training programs for new and existing staff Patient Experience: Ensure all patients receive the highest level of patient care Address and resolve patient concerns or complaints promptly and satisfactorily Implement and monitor procedures to enhance patient satisfaction Schedule Coordination: Oversee the scheduling of patient appointments to optimize clinic workflow. Ensure proper coordination between patients and healthcare providers Manage and troubleshoot scheduling conflicts of issues Maintain and optimize patient coordinator coverages Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between front desk team and clinic management Facilitate effective communication within the team and with other departments. Ensure that all team members are informed of updates and changes in policies or procedures Problem Solving: Proactively address operational issues and implement effective solutions Handle escalated patient issues and complex cases with professionalism Work collaboratively with management to resolve any systemic issues. Qualifications Previous experience in a supervisory role in a healthcare setting strongly encouraged Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficient in medical scheduling and billing software Ability to quickly learn new software Ability to multitask and manage time effectively High level of empathy, patience, and dedication to patient care. Contagious positive mindset The pay range for this role is: 28 – 35 USD per hour(98335)
