BETTER TOGETHER Part-Time, .80/FTE The Chiropractor is responsible for providing high quality chiropractic services to Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) members. The Chiropractor provides a wide range of evaluation, management, and procedural services to GHC-SCW members and fee-for-service patients requesting care. The incumbent ensures members receive prompt, easily accessible chiropractic services, and that members are highly satisfied with chiropractic services. The Chiropractor serves under the general supervision and direction of the Chiropractor Chief. The Chiropractor is expected to use his/her professional judgment at all times in relation to making recommendations to patients for their personal chiropractic care. The incumbent knows and abides by all Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) organizational and departmental policies, sets personal standards and strives for high quality work in completing assignments, performs job duties in a timely manner, and represents the organization in a positive manner. JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS 1. Current, unrestricted Wisconsin State Licensure as Chiropractor required. 2. Graduation from a Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) accredited college of Chiropractic. 3. Certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Education (NBCE), parts I, II and III. 4. Possession of or eligibility for a valid Healthcare Provider CPR/AED certificate is required. Employee must obtain certification within four (4) months of employment. 5. Ability to work within a team concept required. 6. Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication and interpersonal skills required to project a professional image in order to interact courteously and effectively with patients, the public, staff and others required. 7. Excellent customer skills required. Ability to be culturally sensitive and to work with a diverse patient population. 8. Ability to read and interpret various medical reports and/or results required. 9. Ability to use computers and related software such as Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to use and/or learn electronic medical record systems such as EPIC. 10. Ability to learn and maintain currency with GHC-SCW and University of Wisconsin Hospitals & Clinics (UWHC) policies and procedures. 11. Ability to maintain strict patient, proprietary and employee confidentiality required. Knowledge of HIPAA requirements. 12. Ability to prioritize and organize a diverse workload required. 13. Ability to stand/walk for up to eight hours per/day required. 14. Ability to bend, stoop, twist, assist patient in turning; assist patient in arising from exam table required. 15. Ability to see at near, mid and far range required. 16. Ability to speak and hear in person and on the telephone required. 17. Ability to perform fingering and handling with both hands required. 18. Ability to push wheelchair patients required. Ability to assist patient in rising from and returning to wheelchair required.
