Licensed Massage Therapist

Company Mountainside Therapeutic Massage is a cozy yet professional medical massage based practice in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont. Specializing in pain management, injury rehabilitation and post-operation recovery, while creating a safe and fully inclusive space for all. We are looking for new team members who are motivated, caring and looking for a supportive environment to build up clientele. Specifically, we are seeking therapists who are able to commit to working evening and weekend hours, however are not limited to such. Role Description This is a part time – full time position based on personal schedule of your choosing, for a Licensed Massage Therapist at Mountainside Therapeutic Massage in Pownal VT. Licensed Massage Therapists are responsible for preforming massage services up to a 120 minutes, however this can be flexible, with additional choice in how many clients are seen per day. Services currently provided by Mountainside include: Medical Massage, Hot stone, Prenatal, Postpartum, Reflexology , Table Thai and more. We predominately specialize in Medical massage, including pain management, injury rehabilitation, and post-operation recovery. We accept workman’s compensation clientele and have referral basis with many of the local Chiropractors and Physical Therapists as well as SVMC’s urgent care. We are not limited to just medical massage, however we are most well known for our therapeutic work, and the majority of our clientele base is expecting that of our team. Those applying do not need to perform medical massage, or any of the additional modalities on our service menu as we do have a more traditional Swedish/Deep tissue service (Deeply Relaxing) and clientele looking for that. Do inform us of what modalities you are trained in, and any specialties you may have. Further responsibilities of LMT’s beyond providing massage services includes setting up treatment rooms for services as necessary, checking in and out of clients, accepting payments for services, re-booking appointments at time of service, maintaining client SOAP notes as needed and standard cleaning protocol in between services. Training will be provided on all of the above responsibilities, as well as training in some modalities such as hot stone, and reflexology as desired. All supplies are provided for, by us including treatment rooms with massage tables, towel warmers, hot stones, sheets, oil, towels, soap, etc; everything one needs to perform the massage services available. If you provide certain modalities requiring equipment or supplies that we do not currently have, we can discuss that moving forward. Qualifications Must have standard massage training and inform us of that educational background Must have valid Massage Therapy License in any state, including a valid Vermont Massage Registration. Demonstrated experience in standard massage techniques such as Swedish and deep tissue Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team environment Attention to detail and excellent time management skills Ability to identify and address clients’ specific needs and preferences Demonstrated commitment to ongoing education, and professional development Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with discretion We are excited to add more massage therapists to our team, and watch our practice expand.
